mille grazie luca. !
AT 9:30 what (sound something like esimal) language series does he mention? thanks
Luca is talking about Assimil. It’s an excellent series in French + your chosen language.
The article he’s linked to explains his method in detail (note – there are two articles, so be sure to read both).
Thanks! you just gave me the inspiration to continue my French studies
, je parle francai comonsi comosa.
you are the einstein of languages, you are amazing.
i want to learn more languages, but i dont know if my brain have the capacity to learn more.
tu és um genio.
The critical period hypothesis states that the first few years of life is the crucial time in which an individual can acquire a first language if presented with adequate stimuli. If language input doesn’t occur until after this time, the individual will never achieve a full command of language.
But in your case this hypothesis is clearly false…
Thanks for the comment! I think that there is no universal and commonly accepted theory. We are all different and have different goals, techniques and points of views when it comes to learning languages. Nevertheless, general and reasonable principles do exist in this regard.

You are really too gentle. I don’t consider myself a genius, and such comments kind of make me blush, because I know I don’t deserve them. The point I want to get across with these videos is: we can ALL learn languages well if we know how to do it and if we have passion. All you need is a good car (method) and a lot of fuel (passion). You can go pretty much everywhere with these 2. Have a great day
Luca
Wow,I have never encounter any foreigner who can speak Mandarin before, let alone writing. You are amazing! Because Chinese is a character-based language,it’s very different from European languages.
Thank you for the video and the good advices.Best regards.
woow so nice and such an inspiration, im took a spanish course i nschool and the teacher took the fun out of it and rushed it so i got a bad mark but now i will try to learn it by myself!! btw you are so good in languages and so cuteeee
can you please explain your method more indepth… maybe give an example?
@poliglotta80 my mistake, thanks luca
Dear friend, take a look at the right side of the video, there-s a thread to the blog of a friend of mine where the method is explained more in depth, as you request. Have a good day. Luca
Hi Luca! First of all, I wanna congratulate U! I’ve read about your method (Target L-> Native L => Target) and as a beginner, I have a Q about it. You thinkin’ about word-2-word transl. or just a “gist”-transl.? Well, I can only translate a language into another if I’ve already understood it properly, can’t I? But if I’ve really understood it properly why I have to translate it? I hope U get my point, cos my English is not so good, but I’m very interested in your opinion on this issue.
@poliglotta80 HAI ROTTO ER CAZZO CO STI VIDEO DER CAZZO SEI UN COJONE REPRESSO…E FATTELA NA SCOPATA…OGNI TANTO….KE CE DEVI DIMOSTRà A TUTTI KE SEI BRAVO E SEI FORTE….TU C HAI BISOGNO TE UNO PSICOLOGO…KE POI LO SANNO TUTTI KE A FRANCESE SA SPACCANO TUTTI.
Luca is soo cute !
Extremely inspirational! I am like a polyglot in the way that I love languages, however, I do not have the talent for learning that you do.
would you recommend Rosetta Stone to learn German and Russian
@DJPWNSTAR don’t spend money on rosetta stone. If you can get it from a friend or from your local library then use it. Keep in mind that rosetta stone will not get you fluent in a language like they claim. you should use it alongside other methods. Rosetta Stone only teaches you how to say things in one certain context and not in all of the ways commonly used. Check out Steve Kaufmann’s videos about rosetta stone. I do not recommend it.
which language did you find the ‘easiest’ to learn?. You mother tongue is Italian so Im guessing a language similar or to Italian?. I’m thinking of learning a language like Spanish or Italian but I fear that I will forget it as I live in an English speaking country and know on one who speaks a foreign language.
Very good tips! Your American accent is amazingly good for someone who is not a native. I am impressed!
