How to create a multi-language wordpress blog?

I started my wordpress page recently. It was originally written in Vietnamese, but since I also have friends who only speak English, I want to create a English version of my blog for them, too.

I tried: Global Translator, and it did make some translation, but very disappointing (well, the chance of a good translation program appearing in the next 5 years are slim, so i don’t expect much)

Now, I want to create a feature of my blog that only allow English user to see English post, and the same goes for Vietnamese user.
But I don’t know how

The language should be selected by a combo box (which I can make)
And when the content change, it should call a php function to alter the post.
Can I add a custom field to a post to achieve this? and what I should modify in the php functions of wordpress???

Any idea?
Hi there, I really need an answer, not a link

Using Word Press plug ins to automatically translate blog content
This is the easiest solution. A few Word Press plug ins allows you to put some click able flags in your sidebar, that will automatically translate your content to another language using, for example, Google Translate.
This is a great solution if you’re looking for a way to make your content available for people that doe sn’t speak your language, but you guessed it, the automatic translation USN’t as good as a human translated text.

Anyways, if you’re interested in theses plug ins, here’s a small list. I did’t tried them all myself, though.
