Actually…I enjoyed the movie VERY well. Then again. If you hear the Japanese voices and get used to it so much like that, it takes a while to get used to anything else. If you’re doing it English first and then Japanese its usually different because you’re not LISTENING to the voices. You’re just hearing them and reading the subs.

I wanted to see this cute little movie when it came out in japan.. But Noah and Frankie.. They kinda ruined the movie.. Especially the cute kawaii theme song they turned into a english rap..

i don’t know whether it’s me but somehow, Sosuke’s mother reminds me of Sophie Hatter from ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’.

  16. SimplyAnime101 says:

It’s usually Disney that dubs the Studio Ghibli films

  17. theluigifan1 says:

i have to say Noah did a VERY good job voicing Ponyo but did a terrible job with saying what Ponyo actually said but Frankie did a HORRIBLE job with everything.

GREAT film! Loved it! I haven’t seen it in original Japanese, but I thought the english dub was pretty good. Disney usually does a good job with the Miyazaki films (surprisingly). :)
    Ponyo was ADORABLE!
Favorite character: Fujimoto (respect your father!!!) hehe
