    I’m not flattering myself. I’m also not an American, so please don’t call me a Yank. (Reaaaaally annoying).
    I don’t think Americans hate being reminded of their inability to speak “correct English…every time they open…[their] very big mouth[s].” I think they simply don’t like people (English, South Africans, Australians, New Zealanders, etc.) telling them how ugly American English sounds and that they don’t distinguish between kettle and teapot. That shit gets old after a while.

    Chill out. Kettle? Teapot? Does it really matter? I see it as queen’s english and american ; two different languages. I respect that you identify the two with their respective names. Perhaps their identities got lost in our American desire for efficiency?

    @ross3488
    So the fact that some Americans can’t distinguish between a kettle and a teapot you get annoyed by all of us? Maybe you just have a problem. Here’s some American English for you: FUCK OFF :)

  16. ross3488 says:

    @YungMeatball Look man. You didn’t pay enough attention to the wording of my comment. Read it again…slowly. I was taking the side of the Americans. What I said was that people complaining that Americans don’t distinguish between the two terms (because they don’t drink tea in the same way) gets old.

    And if you’ll notice, at the beginning of my comment I clarified that I wasn’t an American. The only reason for my having to make this clarification would be if I was defending them. So fuck you.

  17. YungMeatball says:

    @ross3488
    Well I did read it incorrectly so I apologize for that. I don’t appreciate the sarcasm–i.e. “Read it again…slowly” and “So fuck you”–but I guess I deserve it after I told you to F off.

  18. ross3488 says:

    @YungMeatball Well the “So fuck you” part was hardly sarcastic, but I get your point. It was a little harsh; I agree. My apologies.
