I have been trying to get an Assimil book but I cant find them anywhere!!

  6. Codylangaugesblog says:

the beginners teach yourself books are different than the regular ones. I believe in the regular one they will have kanji and all of that fun stuff.

  7. NorseRonin says:

@Codylangaugesblog oh yeah, Assimil is awesome, the great thing is that the cd’s have no english at all, just the foreign language! i couldn’t find any at the bookstore or anything either so i had to purchase it at amazon. and thanks for letting me know that beginner’s teach yourself is different than the regular one, i might have to buy the regular one then. i wrongly thought that if the beginner one only had romaji then it was like that for all the teach yourself series :-P

did you tried Nobuko Mizutani’s books?

    僕の日本語の勉強の本はちょっと似てるけど大体同じですけど信子水谷の本沢山使った大好きだ。所でどの位勉強したの?

  9. NorseRonin says:

@loki2504 thank you for your subscription! i have never tried Nobuko Mizutani’s books, i have to look into that haha. i’m sorry to say that i am not proficient enough in Japanese to be able to read the kanji you wrote, so i translated it in several online translators, but unfortunately i still don’t know what your question is at the end :-P

  10. loki2504 says:

@NorseRonin I say my resources are almost the same except that I use a lot Mizutani’s books ! And I asked how you’ve been learning japanese?

  11. NorseRonin says:

@loki2504 that’s great that we almost have the same resources :)
in general i use all of my resources but mostly i use Assimil at the moment. it is really good because in the cd you only hear the native speakers and no English at all. “colloquial Japanese” is great too! i found that every resource is helpful, because even if it isn’t perfect you find some information in it that might have been missed in a really good resource. i will buy some of Mizutani’s books as well!
