What words have disappeared from the language recently.?
Every year a bunch of new words creep into the English language. Eg. blog, iPod, jihad, imam etc. What words were in use say 30 or 40 years ago but are now obsolete or gone?
Is English the only language that is butchered by the people speaking it?
There is so much slang and terrible butchering of the English language when spoken, and written, in the U.S. Does this exist in other languages such as Spanish or German, by the people who speak it all the time?
